Thalia cruised from Massachusetts to Charleston, SC during the summer of 2010 and was scheduled to continue south this summer. Due to a change of plans, this cruise-ready, much-loved vessel is now on the market – new bottom paint and she’s ready to go. All the major projects have been completed: mast and boom stripped, etched and painted, engine upgraded, rudder stock re-sleeved, new prop, fuel tank removed and flushed, new Lavac head, LED lights, Autohelm installed, new anchor and chain, new VHF and depth sounder. Outstanding projects - cockpit locker lids are crazed and need some cosmetic work; roller jib needs a new sacrificial strip and top plate; cockpit cushions; freshen bright work. | #105 | Anacortes, WA | $8000 | “Sahale” is a 1967 non-dinette version. Strong and reliable 8 hp 2 stroke Yamaha outboard in in-board well. Removable outboard makes for easy engine maintenance. Motor is set up to charge batteries. This motor has been fresh water flushed religiously after every use. Other upgrades and features include: Epoxy barrier coat (very few blisters when done 7 years ago) and Interlux ablative paint. Painted hull with white 2 part epoxy. Hull paint does not currently look new..some dock rash from a storm a few years ago. Rebedded almost all deck hardware and toerail. Replaced rudder bearings. Retractable ladder that is permanently mounted on toerail amidships. New DSC VHF. Integrated standard horizon speed depth meter. New Stereo. Lifesling. Heavy duty cable to masthead antenna. Spare antenna on stern pulpit. Propane barbeque. Radar Reflector. Kerosene heater, Electric and manual bilge pumps. (2) new group 27 deep cycle batteries. Battery Charger. Relatively new full batten North Sails mainsail. (3) foresails, spinnaker, spinnaker pole and storm jib. Sun canopy. Mainsail cover. New compass. Set up for jacklines on cockpit. No leaks. Problems: Deck needs new non-skid/paint. Upper part of boat and cockpit could use a coat of paint (Never painted). Needs to be taken out this year for bottom painting. (I have done it every two years) Wood is showing signs of needing attention. Outboard in inboard well is great for maintenance but harder on your back. Pictures available.
