The Renegade is one of the many production fiberglass sailboats designed by William H. Shaw and built by Pearson Yachts. Approximately 173 hulls were produced between 1967 - 1969.

Designed under the Cruising Club of America ("C.C.A.") racing rules of the late 1960's, the 27' 2" Renegade is unique as one of the first production sailboats with a fin keel and spade rudder. The Renegade offers their owners the tracking ability of a full-keel cruiser with the maneuverability of a racer. On the following pages you will find out more about these classic boats including layout plans, pictures, and ideas for upgrading this classic boat.

Owners are encouraged to register here, send pictures, and contact other owners through this site. If you are just visiting and are interested in the Renegade or have comments about this site, please drop me an e-mail.
